The Academic Primary Care Centre (APC) has an overarching research, education, and development mandate for primary care in Region Stockholm. APC and the three university health centres Jakobsberg, Gustavsberg, and Liljeholmen constitute the primary care university healthcare unit (USV) and are an important part of the new organization for knowledge-based management at national and regional levels. The operations are based on a network organization where the majority of our employees have their primary employment in clinical primary care activities. Stockholm County Council (SLSO) is the main employer, but APC's operations are conducted independently of the operational model throughout Region Stockholm. Read more about APC here (#).

The Academic Primary Care Centre is looking for a specialist physician in general medicine with strong pedagogical competence and an interest in developing practice-integrated education in primary care.

Primary care plays a central role in future healthcare and is becoming an increasingly important educational environment for several professions. We are now looking for you who want to help build long-term structures for education, supervision, and pedagogical development in primary care, with a special focus on the medical program, the nursing program, and other healthcare education programs.

Job Description

In this role, you will work strategically and operationally to strengthen primary care's educational mandate. This involves developing structures for VIL/VFU (Practice-based Integrated Education/Research), supervision, and pedagogical support, contributing to quality assurance of educational environments, and collaborating with universities, healthcare providers, and clinical operations. An important part of the assignment is to contribute to the education and development of BT (Basic Training) and ST (Specialist Training) in primary care, as well as to create better connections between basic education, further education, clinical supervision, and academic development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in general medicine and have clinical experience from primary care. You have documented pedagogical competence and experience in teaching, supervision, or educational development. You have a good understanding of primary care's mission, conditions, and significance as an educational environment.

It is meritorious if you have a PhD, experience in pedagogical leadership, pedagogical research, or teaching at basic and advanced levels. Experience of collaboration with universities or colleges is also meritorious, as is experience in building structures, processes, or educational mandates and examinations in complex healthcare organizations.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For the assignment, it is required that you can work independently while simultaneously creating trusting collaborations with many stakeholders. You need to be able to move between clinical practice, education, academia, and management, and translate ideas into functioning structures in the daily life of primary care.

Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to important developments in primary care's educational mandate. You will become part of an academic environment where research, education, and clinical development meet, with the goal of strengthening primary care's ability to train future employees and develop care for patients.

The position is permanent and full-time (100%) with a start date as agreed.

We welcome your application!

The position is filled subject to it not needing to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
